Officer took report of a non-injury accident involving KS 178BWG and KS QSI537 in Sector 2.

Officer stopped a bicyclist at 15th and Wooster Dr. Verbal warning for a stop sign violation at the same location.
Officer dispatched to a report of a fire at the Old Hornet Baseball Field restrooms. No problem was found. Crew was sandblasting.

Officers provided jump start assistance for KS 984BWX at 1829 Merchant.

Student Guard reported a window was broken out of Science Hall exterior Door ‘J’ on the north end of the west side of the building. Officer covered until repairs can be made.
Officers taped off elevator in Visser Hall. It was stuck open and not flush with opening.

Officer contacted passenger in KS 587DVL and advised to move that vehicle from the fire lane at Morse Hall Complex.

Officer stopped KS 930CHT in 1700 Rural. Verbal warning issued for a seatbelt violation.
Officer stopped KS PGZ457 in 100 E 12th St. Verbal warning issued for a seatbelt violation.
Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with a 911 hang-up at 1401 E 12th St. Apt. 106.
Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with an Alarm call in 1500 E 6th St.

Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with a suspicious subject at 1201 W 12th St. – Newman Regional Health Center.
Officer stopped KS UIO835 in 1400 Market St. Verbal warning issued for a one-way violation in same location.
Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with an accident at 12th and Commercial St.
Officer stopped KS 906CEW at 15th and Market St. Verbal warning issued for a stop sign violation at same location.
Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with a call of a shooting on Wilshire Lane.
March 24
Officer returned property to the resident of ESU APT. D-41-1201 Triplett Dr.
Officer stopped KS 20219 at 18th and Center. Verbal warning issued for defective headlight at the 15th block of Morse Dr.
Officers attempted to contact a suspicious person near Morse Hall Complex. Subject fled on foot to 1333 Merchant St. Juvenile male suspect was subdued by use of force, taken into custody for attempt to flee and assault on a law enforcement officer and transported to Lyon Co. jail.
March 25
Officer stopped KS 89AFU at 1829 Merchant St. Verbal warning issued for illegal passenger on motorcycle.
