April 11

Kim Christianson requested an officer speak with a female resident of Morse Hall Complex and determine her mental welfare.

Officer checked welfare of an officer on a call at Morse Hall Complex. No backup was required.

Officer assisted Emporia Police Dept. with a Hit and Run call at 11th and State St.

April 12

Pam Konetzni from the ESU Foundation reported an i-Pad and keyboard missing and possibly stolen.

Officers assisted Emporia Police Dept. with a possible shots fired call at 1112 Merchant St.

Phil Metz reported a non-injury accident involving KS Collegiate tag 21624 and KS QVJ 465 in 1400 Highland St.

Officer contacted operator of KS 968ANP in stopped in driving lane at 15th and Wooster Dr. and advised to move the vehicle out of flow of traffic.

 

April 13

Officer provided lock out assistance for KS XFJ413 in Lot 3.

Parking Enforcement removed immobilizer from KS 585CTG in Lot 11.

North Twin Towers zone 531 Fire 8th floor hallway pull station. False alarm.

 

April 14

Officer stopped KS Personalized ‘TVOLS’ in 1700 Industrial Rd. Verbal warning issued for improper display of tag.

Officer assisted Lyon Co. Sheriff’s deputy with serving a warrant at 1100 Merchant St.

Officer transported Kyle Thompson to Lyon Co. jail.

Officer checked KS QSF513 in 10 W 15th St. Vehicle was stopped in the roadway. Officer advised operator to move the vehicle.

Officer checked on KS 358ARM in 1800 Highland St. Vehicle was stopped in the tunnel under I-35 and facing oncoming traffic. Officer advised operator  to move the vehicle.

Officer stopped  TX CH5P281 for driving without headlights in 12th and Highland St.

Operator was taken into custody for DUI and transported to Lyon Co. jail.

Officer assisted the Emporia Fire Dept. with a fire at 1610 Center St.

 

April 15

Officers stopped KS 251DVK in Sector 3. Verbal warning for defective brake light issued.

Officers stopped NC MF3456 at the on-ramp of I-35 at Industrial Rd. Verbal warning issued for failure to stop at stop light.

 

April 16

Officer contacted a skateboarder going the wrong way in 1500 Morse Dr. Verbal warning issued for a one-way violation and also advised of campus policy.

Officer stopped KS WJT005 in 1100 Commercial St. Citation issued for a defective brake light in 1100 Market St.

Officers stopped bicyclist in Lot 9. Verbal warning issued for a one-way violation.

Officers stopped bicyclist in 1400 Exchange St. Verbal warning issued for a one-way violation.

Officer checked KS 194AZI in Sector 7.  Dome light was on.  No other problem was found.

 

April 17

Officer contacted subject fishing at King Lake and advised of campus policy.

Officer stopped KS 168CUI in 1700 Highland St. Citation issued for a seatbelt violation.

Ambulance responded to the Memorial Union for heart problems. Subject was transported by officer to Newman Regional Health.
