The Lady Hornets basketball team took on Truman University, the top shooting team in the nation, Jan. 12 and fell 78-58.
Junior guard Laura Patrick was the only Lady Hornet in double figures with 18 points in the game. The Hornets fell to 7-6 on the season and 2-3 in MIAA Conference play.
The Lady Hornets are back in action on Sunday, January 20 against Missouri Western; tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m. in White Auditorium.
The men picked up their first MIAA road win of the season. The Hornets jumped out to a 16-6 lead and never trailed. They won 65-60.
Senior guard Chris Sights had 17 points. Junior guard Kaleb Wright had 15 points, and junior center Paul Bunch had 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks in the contest.
The Hornets improved to 6-7 on the season and 1-4 in conference play. They will take on Missouri Western at 3:30 p.m. after the women’s match.
