Details for Office and Distribution Manager
The office and distribution manager is responsible for answering telephones, checking and distributing all incoming mail, keeping office areas and bulletin boards clean, making copies, handling subscriptions, greeting/assisting customers and completing other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Editor-in-Chief, business manager, advertising manager, or adviser. They will also work with the business manager to maintain a filing system for the organization of the business department. They will organize extra paper copies of The Bulletin. The office manager is also responsible for keeping track of office supply requests and submitting those to the business manager. Additionally, in their role as distribution manager, they are responsible for distributing copies of The Bulletin across campus and to designated off-campus locations using a university-owned vehicle. They must be available from 2-5 p.m. on print edition days (Thursday) and must comply with campus policies regarding the use of a university vehicle. They must also check newspaper stands at least once a week to refill those that are empty. The distribution manager is also responsible for taking extra Bulletin copies to the campus-recycling center. The distribution manager is expected to update the Editor-in-Chief once a week about distribution.
