Press conference outside Municipal Court addresses harassment investigation
Jay Andrew Vehige (left), Emporia local, speaks in front of the Emporia Municipal Court Thursday afternoon about the Emporia Police Department's investigation into the targeted harassment of the Ziegler family. "These officers acted outside of the policies of their department and in doing so called into question the credibility of the investigation," Vehige said.

Jen Ziegler (middle left), whose son was racially threatened online in October, talked about having to move their family out of Kansas for fear of their safety. In response to the investigation, the Ziegler family plans to file four separate complaints with the Kansas State Attorney's office about the supposed misconduct.
