Editor’s Note: In the United States, undocumented people are still required to pay taxes and are not eligible for government assisted funds, such as welfare.
I learned about your attempt to impeach Michaela Todd for using the term “illegal alien.”
First of all, this is a legally correct term. “Undocumented alien” is not. When you break ANY law, you have committed an illegal act. This is true globally and always has been. No rocket science to wrap your head around here.
Did you know that you, as well as your family and friends who work, help to fund 503.6 MILLION in gov’t freebies and benefits for illegals alone? These figures are just for the state of Kansas. Yes, Kansans get up to go to work every day so that their hard-earned money can pay, via taxes, into these millions that go strictly to benefit illegals. Many illegals get all or some of the following: free or very-reduced-priced phones, computers, cable/internet services, education, health insurance, housing, etc. Many of them work TAX-FREE as they’re paid “under the table.” So, they get to keep ALL the money they earn and don’t contribute a CENT to the system. Is this A-Ok and legal in your mind? Why, then, is there such steadfast support by some for these illegals? Their “votes” are desperately needed by the power-hungry. Just look at who defends them and you’ll know who they are. We need to wake up.
Lastly, you and whoever agrees with you is in total violation of your own standards of “diversity and inclusion” by attempting to silence Ms. Todd. Diversity and inclusion doesn’t only encompass the tunnel-vision categories of race, disability and gender. It also includes “political and social ideologies.”
If you’re going to have a statement, you should be the very ones who adhere to and enforce it - and be absolutely sure that EVERYONE is treated equally according to those standards.
